CTV Morning Live

This past Wednesday, Atlantis Synchro had the opportunity to be featured on CTV Morning Live with one of our very own synchro parents, Cyril Lunney. Coach Ally Merrill, and the athletes in attendance had a blast sharing their synchro skills with Cyril and the camera crew. Click Here to watch the recorded segments.

Synchro NS Fair Play Reps

ASSC’s provincial sport organizing body, Synchro Nova Scotia (SNS), adheres to the Fair Play philosophy of sport. SNS recruits athletes annually who typify Fair Play and help promote the concept of ethical, positive sport. This year’s athletes, who will help develop Fair Play protocol for SNS and coordinate the annual Fair Play breakfast, are the ASSC junior team’s Alexandra Minard and Jessica Landry.

Atlantis Duet Qualifies For Espoirs

Congratulations to Kate Cordeau and Callie MacDonald who competed at the 2016 National Qualifier Meet in March. Down on their figure scores, they decided to give the routine swim their all. This did not go unrewarded, as Kate and Callie Qualified for the Canadian Espoirs Championships. Both athletes were very pleased to have reached their goal, and are supported by their fellow teammates and competitors Briana Flaim & Alexandra Hernandez.

Volunteering At Feed Nova Scotia

What originally started as a team building event for the 13-15 PS Team, turned into something much bigger. As an athlete training long hard hours, you know what it's like to feel hungry, so when the parents suggested to include all competitive teams, many jumped at the volunteer opportunity. Athletes spent 3 hours volunteering their time unpacking boxes of food and sorting them onto shelves. All athletes felt a sense of accomplishment knowing they had given back to the community that has been so supportive to their swimming careers.
